2020s Events:
Edges of Ailey exhibition at the Whitney Museum of Art, New York, NY, Sept. 25, 2024 - February 9, 2025. Murray was included in this gigantic exhibition on the world(s) of Alvin Ailey through the documentary Bearden Plays Bearden (dir. Nelson Breen, 1980), which features Ailey, James Baldwin, Romare Bearden, and Murray having a conversation. That portion of the documentary streamed on a continuous loop in the exhibition. (Michele Murray was a dancer with the Ailey Company in the 1960s and 1970s.)
